How to keep your Onspots working properly

Written by Ulrik Andersson,

As soon as your day starts, habits are put in place and follow each other. From the alarm clock that rings in the morning, the daily work missions, to the evening trip back home.
Are others habits / routines present in your work day? Let's look more closely at the advantage and the inconvenience of these habits.

Repeated skills.

Depending on where you work, your daily tasks are more or less repeated. Common vehicle maintenance tasks, such as draining or changing tires, are fairly straightforward and this is a routine for you. Indeed, the actions you do are automatic.

These habits and reflexes make your work easier because it saves you time in carrying out your missions. And maybe you have already become referent in a certain mission. But do you ever think about changing or developing your work habits?

New methods of work.

Without realizing it, we are used to working in a certain way. Only by observing or interacting with other people or things (instruction booklet / interview) can we improve the way we work. The best example for this is in intergenerational professional collaborations. A young apprentice or someone recently arrived in your company will learn from a referent, then he will create new habits of work specific to him, he will repeat and transmit in turn!

New missions to perform?

Habits and routine have advantages, but a good mechanic must always develop them. Have you ever noticed the system of automatic snow chains attached to the vehicle? Have you read the interview that needs to be done? All this information is available on the driver's booklet.
Download the driver's booklet, develop new work habits, and become referent to Onspot system maintenance in your company.
