Make sure drivers are trained and ready for inclimate weather. It can be easy to get into a routine and go through the motions rather than truly pay attention. Drivers need to be attentive when dealing with winter weather. The roadways are no longer as safe as they were in the summer, so things like braking distance need to be considered carefully.
The vehicle fleet needs to be properly prepared for colder conditions. Fluids need checked and or replaced with their winter counterparts, grease points need greased, tires need checked for tread, and so much else goes into getting ready.
