IAA Transportation 2026 brought plenty of meetings and great conversations about safety, mobility and everyday life on the road. Here are some of the thoughts we brought back with us from Hannover.
It has been just over a week since IAA Transportation closed its doors in Hannover. Looking back at our days there, it is above all the meetings and conversations that stay with us.
We showcased both Onspot Air and Onspot Electric, and the demonstrations gave us plenty of opportunities to talk with drivers, fleet owners and others in the transport industry. The conversations often started with a question about our solutions, but quickly moved on to the realities of everyday life on the road. Safety, mobility, time pressure, and what happens when weather and road conditions suddenly change the conditions for getting the job done.

Conversations at IAA give us new perspectives
For us, this part of IAA is just as important as the opportunity to show what we are developing. Those of you who drive the vehicles, plan the transport operations and make sure people and goods get where they need to go know the challenges of everyday operations. Listening to your experiences, answering your questions and discussing what is actually needed out on the road gives us new perspectives and plenty to take back with us.
Next year marks 50 years since the Onspot function was introduced. A lot has changed since then, from the vehicles and technology to the transport industry itself. But the basic idea remains the same: to help a vehicle get traction when it is needed and give the driver better conditions to arrive safely and on time. With almost 50 years of experience behind us, we continue to develop Onspot for the demands and needs that lie ahead.
What challenges do you think we as an industry need to address to make the future of transport safer and easier?
