Alle på AMK-sentralen vet at når de får samtalen, er en rask responstid kritisk. Det bidrar til å redde liv, få kontroll på brann og sikre samfunnets sikkerhet. Brannmenn bruker forskjellige ressurser som de har til rådighet for å oppnå det som trengs, samtidig som de ivaretar deres sikkerhet og sikkerheten til de rundt seg.

Å jobbe som brannmann stiller store krav til deg som person, dine faglige ferdigheter og utdannelse. Utviklingen av utstyr og kjøretøy akselererer også og dagens brannbiler er avanserte og komplekse. Det er viktig at sjåføren og brannmannskapene kjenner brannbilen og utstyret. Dårlig utstyr kan få konsekvenser for beredskapstiden.
