Getting a grip – what is the best option?

Traction when driving in adverse conditions is a must. Losing traction and getting stuck is frustrating and dangerous.  Today, there are several options to provide the driver with traction but which is best?

When it comes to avoiding loss of traction – or getting it back when the vehicle has lost control often the best solution is a combination of available methods.  All methods have their pros and cons, which is why there is no 'one best' option. That’s why we think if you run with just  the ’good old conventional tire chains’ you limit your options for available traction which is a risky proposition.  Instead consider alternatives and find out which method is the very best for you, according to your specific needs.  As you will see often times the best option is a combination of on board traction aids available and at the ready.

During the four years as a field technician Leonard provided install and maintenance training to dealers. Leonard also performed fleet reviews for customers and provided technical service support. An alumnus from the University of Maine, Leonard graduated with a B.A. in English and a concentration in Education. Leonard also attended Texas State Technical College where he earned an associate’s degree in automotive mechanics.
